Scam texts are usually just annoying, but they can start getting scary when they contain your personal info.

Some residents report having gotten a scam text addressing them by name and asking them to follow a link to proceed with a delivery.

There are a number of ways scammers can get their hands on your personal info, including data breaches, leaks, or having it sold by a less than scrupulous website/business that you willingly gave your information to.

As with all scam texts, residents are advised to delete the message and block the number, and avoid clicking the link as it may result in the loss of more personal information.
