If you’re planning to take a GO bus tomorrow (Nov. 1), you’ll want to keep an eye out for any cancellation notices.

Metrolinx says they’re preparing for “operational impacts” tomorrow to their GO bus service that will result in the cancellation of some trips.

“We’re doing our best to minimize the impacts to service,” said Metrolinx.

The cause of the impacts is Metrolinx’s new mandatory vaccine policy, which goes into effect on Nov. 1.

Unvaccinated employees (or employees without a valid exemption) will be placed on leave.

“Our priority continues to be to ensure our service can get people to where they need to go – safely. We are monitoring the situation very closely and will provide as much notice to customers as possible if changes to service are required,” said Metrolinx spokesperson Anne Marie Aikins.

“We’ll know final staff numbers on Monday.”

For service updates, transit users can follow GO Transit on Twitter or check for updates via their website.
