Small decrease for one-bedroom rental price in Burlington, still among highest in Canada

The average price for a one-bedroom rental unit in Burlington fell slightly last month, one of the few decreases anywhere in the country.

Two-bedroom units, however, rose, keeping Burlington in the Top 5 most expensive rental locations in Canada.

According to a report from Rentals.ca, the average price of a new one-bedroom rental in Burlington in May was $1,978, down 1.9 per cent from the previous month, but up 11 per cent based on May 2021.

Two-bedroom rates rose 3.1 per cent over April, to $2,331, up 13.3 per cent from last year.

Burlington rental rates for one-bedrooms are fifth highest in the country, trailing Vancouver, Toronto, Burnaby and Oakville.
