The sixth annual Burlington Car Show is returning to the downtown this Saturday, July 9, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In past years, more than 25,000 people have headed downtown to the free event to see hundreds of show cars, including classics, cruisers, ’60s and ’70s road demons, European sports cars, exotics and modern American muscle cars.

A special red carpet display will feature 50 rare and exotic cars brought to the show by Angelo Paletta and TNC Exotics.

In additions to the vehicles, there will be live music throughout the afternoon, promotions and sidewalk sales at several local shops and plenty of vendor kiosks.

Proceeds from the event go the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation.

Several downtown Burlington roads will be closed to accommodate the event, which will take place on Brant St. between Caroline St. and Lakeshore Rd.

Vehicles parked illegally in the event area will be tagged or towed to allow emergency access.

The following road closures will be in effect Saturday, July 9, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Brant Street between Caroline St. and Lakeshore Rd.
  • Ontario St. and Elgin St. between Locust St. and Brant St.
  • James St. between John St. and Brant St.

Emergency Services access will be maintained at all times in the event area.

Road closure will be managed under the supervision of the Halton Regional Police Service. Event notices were delivered to all residences, religious centres and businesses affected by the event.
