Sixteen new Covid cases in Durham with six coming from Ajax

Covid-19 cases continue to rise in Durham Region with 16 new cases reported yesterday, with one person landing in hospital.

The bulk of the new cases came from Ajax (6), Oshawa (4) and Pickering (3), while the mostly rural northern communities continue to be covid-free. For Brock Township, it’s the sixth day in a row with no new cases reported.

The vaccination totals show a small increase, with 68.8 per cent of the 12-plus population now fully vaccinated.
