Sixteen new Covid-19 cases were reported in Durham Region yesterday, the highest in weeks.

Half of the cases were in Oshawa, which is still struggling to get its population fully vaccinated.
All 16 cases are isolating at home.

Exactly half the region’s population is now fully vaccinated, while 75.8 per cent of the 18-plus demographic in Durham has received at least one dose.
