SIU confirms investigation in Oshawa after a vehicle crashes into police cruiser

The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is seeking the public’s help with a collision investigation where a 33-year-old woman was seriously injured after crashing into a police cruiser in Oshawa last night.
On Saturday (May. 27) Durham Regional Police Service attended to an incident on Harmony Rd between Columbus Rd E / Howden Rd E.
Police say a woman took off in a vehicle, and police followed.
At approximately 6:20 p.m., the vehicle became involved in a collision with a police cruiser on Columbus Rd E, between Harmony Rd North / Wilson Rd N.
The woman was taken to a hospital for the treatment of a serious injury.
Three investigators and two forensic investigators have been assigned to the case.
