Sir Wilfrid Laurier Public School, Peel Alternative School North in hold and secure due to man armed with knife, possibly gun in Brampton

Sir Wilfred Laurier Public School and Peel Alternative School North in Brampton are both in a hold and secure, as police investigate a man, armed with a knife, seen damaging a nearby home.

At 1:03 p.m. on Tuesday (September 21), PRP was called to the area of Rambler Drive and Kennedy Road South in relation to a man who was seen damaging a home in the area.

He’s described as Black, approximately 5’9″ tall, with a slim build. He was seen wearing a brown shirt, brown sweatpants, and white shoes.

According to police, he has a knife, and he may also have a gun.

Police are still searching the area, but no injuries have been reported.

UPDATE: the hold and secure for both schools has been lifted.
