Single vehicle crash injures two people, leaves Oakville neighbourhood without power

A single vehicle accident overnight Monday resulted in two people being taken to the hospital and left an Oakville neighbourhood without power.

A single vehicle accident overnight Monday resulted in two people being taken to the hospital and left an Oakville neighbourhood without power.

The two males were transported to the hospital after their car crashed into a hydro box on Leighland Avenue, west of Trafalgar Road.

The accident resulted in a power outage in Southwest Oakville in the area of Ridge Rd. to North Service Rd. and Sixth Line to Robarts Rd.

Leighland Avenue was closed while Halton Police investigate the crash.

Oakville Hydro says crews are working with Halton Police and will restore power once the scene is released.

The estimated time before power is restored is 1 p.m.
