Brampton residents looking to stay fit and have fun this fall can sign up for one of the city’s two upcoming adult sports leagues.

Starting in August, the City of Brampton will be opening registration for adult basketball and ultimate frisbee sports leagues at Save Max Sports Centre.

Residents 18 years old and over will be able to sign up as part of an already assembled team or as free agents. Every registered player in both leagues will receive a reversible jersey for “home” and “away” games.

The city’s basketball league will run from Sept. 21 to Dec. 14. The suggested team roster is nine to 12 players, and all gameplay will be officiated by Ontario Association of Basketball Officials.

The ultimate frisbee fall league will run from Oct. 13 to Dec. 14. Suggested team rosters are nine to 11 players, and the games will not be officiated.

The city says the leagues are part of new Brampton Recreation opportunities, with more new leagues set to be announced for winter season.

All games will be played at Save Max Sports Centre at Dixie Rd. and Sandalwood Pkwy.

Registration for the adult basketball and ultimate frisbee leagues opens on Aug. 1. For more information visit www.brampton.ca/sportsleague.
