Updated: Shots reportedly fired in Brampton

Police report there have been shots fired in Brampton.
According to Peel Regional Police, they have been informed of gunfire near Dixie Rd. and Northcliffe St., a residential area near the city centre.
As a result, there is a heavy police presence in the neighbourhood. However, investigators have released few details about the incident.
It is unknown as yet if anybody has been injured by the gunshots. Police said they will release more information as it becomes available.
They advise residents to stay clear of the area for the time being.

Update: One man has been found suffering gunshot wounds. He is in stable condition. Police have no suspect descriptors yet given the “early stage” of their investigation.
