Shots fired, roads closed for investigation in Brampton

Gunshots were reportedly fired early this morning in Brampton.

Peel Regional Police were called to Steeles Avenue East and Melanie Drive for a report of shots fired around 5:30 a.m. today (Jan. 28).

Police say, there were no reported injuries.

Investigators have temporarily closed westbound lanes on Steeles Avenue from Torbram Road to Bramalea Road.

Driver’s are asked to use alternate routes for the time being.

Officers have not indicted when they anticipate to reopen the roadways.
