Shots fired near City Centre area of Mississauga

Police have responded to reports of gunfire near the City Centre area of Mississauga this afternoon (March 18).
However, there are no reports of any injuries in the wake of the shots fired call, which sent Peel Regional Police officers to the area of Elia Ave. and James Austin Dr., just east of Hurontario St. and north of Hwy. 403, at about 3 p.m.
The commercial/residential area is lined with apartment buildings and condos.
Police say “evidence of gunfire” was located and they remain on the scene conducting an investigation.
