Shots fired at downtown Burlington restaurant over the weekend, police looking for suspect

Halton police are looking for a man who fired a gun several times outside a downtown Burlington restaurant.

Just before 2 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, police responded to reports of an altercation and shots being fired in the parking lot of the Port House Social Bar and Kitchen.

The restaurant is on Lakeshore Rd.. at the foot of Elizabeth St., in the Downtown Waterfront Hotel beside Spencer Smith Park.

During the altercation a man removed a handgun from his waistband, and fired several shots into the air. Witnesses reported at least five shots being fired.

The man fled the parking lot in a white sedan. No physical injuries were sustained as a result of the shooting.

The suspect is described as a male, brown skin with a dark beard. The investigation continues.
