Shooting that critically injures victim in Mississauga prompts plea from cops for help finding gunman

A shooting last Saturday night (July 15) in the northwest part of Mississauga left one person critically injured and has police asking the public to help them find the gunman.

Peel Regional Police say one person was struck by a bullet after shots rang out on the 3700 block of Pearlstone Dr., near Ninth Line and Thomas St., just after 8:30 p.m.

According to police, multiple culprits then fled the scene in a grey late model Honda CR-V.

At least two men are being sought by police in connection with the violent incident.

The first is described as Black, standing 5-foot-10 with an average build, wearing a black hoodie with hood up, grey pants, black shoes, black satchel and black gloves.

He was armed with a black handgun.

The second is described as Black, wearing a multi-coloured hoodie (orange, white and black), grey pants, black shoes and black gloves.

Detectives believe the shooting to be an isolated incident and say there is no risk to the general public.
