Police have re-opened multiple busy Brampton roads after a man was shot inside a vehicle on Wednesday morning.
The shooting happened near the intersection of Torbram Road and Mayfield Road shortly before 8:30 a.m., Pel Regional Police said.
Investigators say an adult male was shot while inside his vehicle by unknown suspects who fled the scene in a second vehicle.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital in non-life threatening condition, police say.
The shooting led police to close the intersections of Mayfield Road at Torbram Road, Mayfield Road at Airport Road, and northbound Torbram Road at Countryside Drive.
The closures were in place for several hours while investigators were on the scene but Peel police said the roadways had re-opened by around 12:30 p.m.
