SHOOTING: One person shot in Brampton

Update: The person shot is a woman, police said. Her injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

At least two suspects fled in a vehicle. The incident appears isolated to a residence, police said. Police asked people to continue to avoid the area and allow police to work.

One person is injured in a shooting in Brampton.

The shooting was reported in the Mountainash Road and Judson Gate area of Brampton around 5:30 p.m. Friday, Peel Regional Police said.

The person shot is in unknown condition, police said.
