Shooting: Man shot following altercation in Mississauga

Police are on the hunt for the person who shot a man during an altercation in an industrial area of east Mississauga this afternoon.

According to Peel Regional Police, the victim suffered injuries not believed to be life-threatening after being shot during a dispute in the area of Creekbank Road and Matheson Boulevard East.

Police haven’t released any additional details of the incident, nor have they provided a description of the shooter, who remains at large.

However, they did say that the shooting was an “isolated incident” with no threat to the general public.

Creekbank Road, between Matheson Boulevard East and Aimco Boulevard, remains closed while police investigate.

Police are telling people to avoid the area.
