Peel Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Thursday night in Brampton.

At 9:49 p.m. on Thursday (April 28), Peel Regional Police received a report about a shooting in the area of Botavia Downs Drive and Brisdale Drive.

Responding officers quickly discovered a male who had been shot, and they are receiving medical attention from Peel Parademics.

The adult male has since died as a result to his injuries he has sustained.

The Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau will be taking carriage of this investigation.

Roads in the area are closed off so use alternative routes.
