Shooting in Brampton leaves one in hospital as suspect fled by vehicle

A shooting in Brampton this afternoon (Nov. 12) has sent a man to hospital.

Peel Regional Police say shots rang out in the area of Bellchase Trail and Hwy. 50 just after 3:30 p.m.

The victim has been taken to hospital. The extent of injuries is not known but he was struck several times with bullets.

According to police the shooter made a getaway in a vehicle. There is no description at this time of the culprit or the type of vehicle.

Police ask the public to avoid the area.
