Shooting: 2 shot, 1 in critical condition at Mississauga plaza

3 U.K. men plead guilty in death of Ontario restaurant owner

Peel Regional Police are investigating after a shooting at a Mississauga plaza on the evening of Feb. 21, 2026.

Police were called to the area of Hurontario Street and Eglinton Avenue following reports of gunfire. The plaza is located just east of the intersection, at Eglinton Avenue and Delaware Drive.

When officers arrived, they found two adult men suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both victims were transported to the hospital. One man is reported to have serious injuries but is expected to survive. The second victim remains in critical condition.

Officers have taped off the area as investigators examine the scene. It is not yet clear what led to the shooting or whether any suspects are in custody.

Police are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident to contact Peel Regional Police.
