SHOOTING: 1 person dead, 2 others in hospital in Toronto

One person is dead and two others are in hospital following a shooting in Toronto late Friday night.

Toronto police say officers were called to the area of Jane Street and Sheppard Avenue West in North York around 11 p.m. for reports of a shooting.

Three people were found with gunshot wounds.

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while two men in their 20s were taken to hospital with serious injuries, police say. Updates on their condition are unknown.

Investigators have not released information about a suspect and the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
