Sherway Gardens in Toronto in lockdown after gunfire heard inside the mall

Sherway Gardens is in lockdown after reports of a shooting this afternoon.

Toronto Police and emergency crews responded to reports of gunfire inside the mall around 2:30 p.m. and ordered a lockdown while they investigated.

One man had been reported shot but later reports indicated his injuries were the result of a physical altercation.

Sherway Gardens is located near Highway 27 and the QEQ in south Etobicoke, near the border with Mississauga.
