Sheridan College’s campuses in Oakville, Mississauga and Brampton are planning a full return to the classroom this fall.

The local college is planning to return to pre-pandemic levels for most of its campus services and activities for the upcoming Fall 2022 semester.

“We look forward to welcoming back our students and resuming many of the campus life activities that were placed on hold due to public health measures,” said Sheridan in a media release.

“At this time, the expectation is that 98 per cent of Fall 2022 programming will offer at least some in-person experience.”

Headlining the return to class this fall will be the opening of a brand-new Student Centre at the Hazel McCallion Campus, which features a new gym and workout space, dedicated student space for clubs, studying and gathering, and new on-campus dining options.

Students will also return to refreshed and upgraded Student Centres at the Trafalgar (Oakville) and Davis (Brampton) campuses.

More on-campus activities will be offered at all the campuses by Sheridan’s Student Union and support teams, while continuing to provide opportunities to connect with students in-person and virtually.

“As we have throughout the pandemic, we will continue to focus on our shared responsibility to maintain the health and safety of our community,” said the school in the release. “We work in partnership with our public health and provincial partners to determine the extent to which our on-campus health and safety measures will remain in place for the Fall semester.

“Further information will be provided as September approaches.”

With more students getting ready to return to classes, Sheridan says it has partnered with two leading off-campus housing organizations to provide students with more safe and affordable housing options and will help educated them about their rights and responsibilities as tenants.
