Those who enjoy watching live performances at the Living Arts Centre (LAC) in Mississauga may be interested to know that Shen Yun Performing Arts will be returning next year.

The upcoming shows, which are set to hit the LAC from Mar. 25 to 29, 2023, enable guests to experience “the beauty and wonder of China” before communism.

Shen Yun’s artists aim to revive China’s true culture through dance, music, unique backdrops and costumes.

“Through breathtaking dance and music, Shen Yun’s artists tell of a time when divine beings walked upon the earth, leaving behind a culture that inspired generations,” reads Shen Yun Performing Arts’ website.

Each performance consists of roughly 20 pieces, which move from one legend, region, or dynasty to the next. Themes will range from the elegance of Tang court ladies to the battlefield of generals, the works of Lao-Tzu and scenes of magical realms.

Some pieces will also touch on the topic of today’s China, which aims to shed light on the oppression that many people experience for their spiritual beliefs, including Falun Dafa.
