Sexual assault reported in Mississauga, police seek witnesses

Police seek witnesses in a sexual assault reported Friday (Nov. 25) afternoon in Mississauga.

A woman reported that she was sexually assaulted on Friday, Nov. 25 at approximately 1:15 p.m. on York Street in Mississauga, Peel Regional Police said in a press release.

The victim was walking on the sidewalk near Malton Village Park when an unknown suspect ran towards her, sexually assaulted her, and fled to the park area, police said.

The suspect is described as a white man, five-foot-eight-inches tall with a thin build, approximately 20 years old. He has a pointy chin, is clean-shaven, and was wearing a black hat and a grey sweater.
