A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for part of Ontario.
The yellow weather alert was issued by Environment Canada for northwestern parts of the province.
Thunder Bay and Sioux Lookout are among the areas affected.
Forecasters said conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that could bring strong winds and large hail.
Wind gusts up to 90 km/h are possible along with toonie-sized hail.
“Thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon and continue into this evening,” Environment Canada said.
“Local utility outages are possible.”
