A thunderstorm warning is currently in effect for Mississauga, Brampton, and the Halton Region area.
As of 1:38 p.m., Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm located near the Meadowvale area of Mississauga and moving southwest at 15 km/h.
The storm is capable of producing heavy rain amounts of 50 mm within one hour.
The areas of Milton, Meadowvale, Trafalgar, Streetsville and Britannia are thought to be most impacted.
Residents are advised to stay indoors during serious storms, which have the potential for flash floods and water pooling on roads.
