Suspicious vehicle leads police to forged documents and charges for Brampton man

Police are investigating after a Brampton man died following a traffic stop on Highway 401.

The incident happened shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Sunday when the OPP says officers stopped a vehicle headed eastbound on the 401 near the Highway 15 interchange, approximately 30 kilometres east of Kingston.

Police say officers found a 34-year-old male inside the vehicle who was in “severe medical distress.”

Officers gave the man first aid on the scene before he was rushed by Frontenac County Paramedics to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police closed the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 for several hours, and while police say no foul play is suspected officers are still investigating the fatal incident.
