Seven busted in firearms offences found in St. Catharines house

Seven suspects in St. Catharines have been charged with numerous gun violation after a Niagara Police raid yesterday (November 23).

During November, Niagara Police have been investigated illegal firearms in the Louth Street and Nash Street area of St. Catharines.

Last night just past midnight, they serves a warrant to a home in the area and seized:

  • Black 6 shooter Colt DA.88 revolver firearm loaded with 6 live rounds
  • Six live rounds in a speed loader fitted for a 38 revolver
  • A modified (sawed off) 22. Caliber single shot rifle. The rifle was loaded with 1 live 22. Caliber round.
  • 20 live 22. Caliber ammunition rounds
  • 11 live 22. Caliber ammunition rounds
  • A Hatson Arms pump action shotgun with 6 live rounds
  • 8 live 12 gauge shotgun

As a result, four male suspects and three female suspects were arrested.

Dalshan Baines, 40, of no fixed address, was charged with three counts of knowing unauthorized weapons possession, three counts of careless storage of a firearm and two counts of possession of firearms contrary to probation.

Ulysses J. Alligood, 3, of no fixed address, was charged with three counts of knowing unauthorized weapons possession and three counts of careless storage of a firearm.

Moises Medeirosn 26 years, of no fixed address, was charged with three counts of knowing unauthorized weapons possession, three counts of careless storage of a firearm, possession contrary to order and failure to comply with a release order.

Christopher Redmond, 35, of St. Catharines, was charged with three counts of knowing unauthorized weapons possession and three counts of careless storage of a firearm.

Megan Loggie, 27, of St. Catharines was charged with three counts of knowing unauthorized weapons possession, three counts of careless storage of a firearm and possession contrary to order.

Britteny A. Henry, 29, of St. Catharines was charged with three counts of knowing unauthorized weapons possession and three counts of careless storage of a firearm.

Chassidy H. Archer, 21, of no fixed address, was charged with three counts of knowing unauthorized weapons possession and three counts of careless storage of a firearm.

All seven parties were held for bail and are expected to appear in court today.
