Service Burlington is temporarily relocating to local residents can avoid the disruption caused by the ongoing construction at City Hall.

The new location is on the third floor of 390 Brant St., directly south of City Hall and can be accessed by residents from the Elgin St. entrance.

“Moving the Service Burlington counter to the building beside City Hall will ensure we can continue to offer customers a positive experience when they come to visit us,” said Angela Morgan, strategic lead – customer service.

“We sincerely apologize for the disruption and look forward to seeing our customers soon at our new temporary location on the third floor of 390 Brant St. We will continue to update the public about when Service Burlington will move back to City Hall.”

To complete the move, Service Burlington will be closed to walk-in customers on Monday, May 9, and Tuesday, May 10, with the exception of marriage license and commissioning appointments.

Other services that will be offered at the new location include prospective candidates in the municipal election who want to file their nomination papers.

During the move, residents can connect with the City by calling 905-335-7777 or emailing [email protected] to receive service.

Council chambers on the second floor of City Hall remains open to the public meetings. Burlington City Council has implemented hybrid Council meetings and members of the public have the option to participate in or observe council meetings in person at council chambers or remotely.

Many City service payments are also available online.

The construction is happening as part of the City Hall modernization project. The project is one of 22 recommendations from the Red Tape Red Carpet Task Force report and is expected to create a more open, customer-facing area on the first floor.
