‘Serious’ crash leaves man dead from Caledon; police look for witnesses

Police are asking witnesses to come forward following a deadly crash on the weekend that left a Caledon man dead.

The crash happened just after 10:15 a.m. on Saturday when the OPP says two vehicles collided on County Road 17 between the 3rd and 4th line in Melancthon, approximately 70 kilometres north of Brampton.

Investigators described the crash as “serious” and say that a 26-year-old man from Caledon was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the victim has not been released.

Police kept County Road 17 closed for several hours while officers investigated the crash, and the OPP is asking to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision.
