Serious collision in Brampton sends motorcyclist to hospital with life-threatening injuries

A collision between a car and a motorcycle in Brampton early Wednesday evening has sent the rider to hospital in life-threatening condition.
The accident happened just before 7 p.m. near Castlemore Road and Valley Creek Drive. Emergency crews were on the scene quickly and transported the motorcyclist to a trauma centre.
All parties involved in the accident remained on the scene and cooperated with police.
The intersection is expected to be closed for several hours as Major Collisions Bureau officers process the scene. The still unidentified motorcyclist remains in life-threatening condition in hospital.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
