Serial killer speakeasy opening its doors soon in Toronto

If you’re the type of person that’s obsessed with all things horror, murder, true crime and serial killers, there’s a new speakeasy opening up in Toronto that’s just for you.

The Serial Killer Speakeasy is a true crime cocktail experience, featuring different cocktails themed around ghastly serial killers.

The evening entails the retelling of the gruesome stories of legendary famous serial killers, told through their eyes in front of a live audience. If you’re feeling a bit nervous about the gory tales, never fear: a cocktail pairing for each chilling killer should help you through the dark experience.

Basically, think your favourite true crime podcast or show but live and in person, and with a surprisingly delicious cocktail pairing on deck. Except instead of drinking at home in your pyjamas in front of Netflix, you’ll be sipping on bevvies out in a social setting with a live performance.

The serial killers that will be explored in this morbid immersive theatre experience are Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer, John Wayne Gacy and Ed Gein. Each serial killer and their story will be paired with a themed cocktail that will bring the thrills to life even more.

Ted Bundy’s tale is paired with a cocktail called the Friendly Stranger, Jeffrey Dahmer is paired with the Apartment Two One Three, John Wayne Gacy is paired with the Killer Clowns, and Ed Gein is paired with the Gein’s Cauldron cocktail. Mocktail options are also available for the speakeasy night.

The experience is around 90 minutes long in total, and has slots that start at 3:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Tickets cost $56, and the event is 19 plus only.

The event is going to be taking place at The Parkdale Hall, which should provide the ideal atmosphere for the creepy event with its large space complete with historic 1920s ceilings.

The Serial Killer Speakeasy series of event is taking place at The Parkdale Hall on Saturday, June 13.
