Sept. 29 Weather: Breezy with a mix of sun and clouds coming up in southern Ontario

It’s going to be a warm but breezy day in southern Ontario, with a little bit of sunshine and cloudy conditions.

For those who enjoy staring at a beautiful morning sky, Sunday’s sunrise will begin at 7:11 a.m.

Residents of Mississauga, Brampton and Durham Region will wake up to a mix of sun and clouds, while Hamilton and Halon will be mainly cloudy.

Wind speeds could also pick up to 20 km/h and lighten up by the evening.

Daytime temperatures will vary across cities with Mississauga, Brampton and Halton reaching 23 C. Hamilton will be slightly cooler at 21 C and Durham will be the warmest at 24 C.

UV index will climb to a moderate level 5.

Environment Canada advises protecting your skin when the UV index is three or higher, particularly between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The humidex is anticipated to hit between 26 and 30, making conditions very uncomfortable for some individuals.

Additionally, Health Canada says that if outdoors, individuals should seek shade, wear protective clothing and hats, apply SPF 30 or higher sunscreen, avoid tanning, use UV-protective sunglasses and stay hydrated throughout the day.

Sunset begins at 6:59 p.m.—13 minutes earlier than last week.

By evening, there will be a few clouds in Mississauga, Brampton and Durham while Hamilton and Halton will be mostly cloudy.

Temperatures are expected to dip to a cool 14 C in Mississauga, Brampton and Halton, while Hamilton will be slightly warmer at 17 C. Durham will see the chilliest conditions, with temperatures dropping to 12 C.

Rainy and cloudy weather will settle in on Monday and Tuesday before sunshine returns to the forecast on Wednesday through Friday. Daytime temperatures will range from 18 C to 22 C, while evening lows will hover between 8 C and 14 C.
