Foggy weather is set to sweep through southern Ontario once again, but it won’t be sticking around for long. As it clears, temperatures will rise, bringing a burst of sunshine and warmth.

For those who enjoy a vibrant morning sky, Sunday’s sunrise is set for 6:55 a.m., though a blanket of fog may soften the view, lending the early hours a misty, serene atmosphere.

Residents of Mississauga, Brampton, Halton, Hamilton and Durham Region will wake up to fog dissipating, making way for clear skies and plenty of sunshine.

Daytime temperatures will vary slightly across the region with Mississauga, Brampton and Halton expected to reach 28 C. Hamilton and Durham will experience a high of 27 C.

The UV index will climb to a high level of 7 across all cities.

Environment Canada advises protecting your skin when the UV index is three or higher, particularly between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The humidex is anticipated to hit between 31 and 33, making conditions very uncomfortable for some individuals.

Additionally, Health Canada says that if outdoors, individuals should seek shade, wear protective clothing and hats, apply SPF 30 or higher sunscreen, avoid tanning, use UV-protective sunglasses and stay hydrated throughout the day.

Sunset begins at 7:45 p.m.—five minutes earlier than last week.

By evening, clouds will move into Mississauga, Brampton and Halton, while Hamilton will stay partly cloudy and Durham will see a few clouds.

Overnight fog is also anticipated to return across all cities.

Temperatures will dip to 16 C in Mississauga and Brampton, while Halton, Hamilton and Durham will feel a cooler 14 C.

Sunny weather will persist through Tuesday, followed by mostly cloudy skies and rain on Wednesday and Thursday. Friday will bring a little cheer with a mix of sun and clouds. Daytime temperatures will range from 24 C to 28 C, while evenings will be chilly between 12 C and 14 C.
