Update: Security delays reported at Pearson Airport in Mississauga
Published November 10, 2023 at 7:40 am
Those catching a flight at Pearson Airport this morning may want to leave extra time.
The airport is reporting a non-urgent security issue that is causing longer than usual wait times at Terminal 1 security today (Nov. 10).
There were no further details on the issue but Pearson said it will update people with more information as it becomes available.
In an update around 7:40 a.m., the airport said the security issue has been resolved, and normal operations will resume shortly.
This incident follows long delays yesterday after a worker, contracted to Lynx Air, mistakenly let arriving passengers into an area of departing U.S. passengers in Terminal 1.
Passengers were stuck and flights were delayed as U.S. Customs and Border Protection worked to clear people for travel.
