Section of QEW in Oakville closed overnight Oct. 7-8

Late night drivers looking to hop on the QEW in Oakville over the next couple of nights may want to consider another route.

The Ministry of Transportation announced that ongoing construction on the local highway will result in the overnight closure of lanes beginning at 8 p.m. on Thursday.

The rolling lane closures will be on a section of the QEW between Winston Churchill Boulevard and Dorval Drive. The nightly closures will effect both the Toronto-bound and Hamilton-bound lanes and are expected to last until Friday night.

Ongoing construction will also see the closure of both north-bound and south-bound on-ramps at Royal Windsor Drive.

On Oct. 7-8, all lanes will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
