Second victim dead in Caledon shooting, police search for leads on suspect pick-up truck

A second person is dead following a triple-shooting and vehicle fire in Caledon that has police searching for suspects.
The fatal shooting happened around 12 a.m. on Nov. 20 when the OPP say officers were called to a residence on Mayfield Road in Caledon.
Police say the body of a male victim was found by first responders on the scene while two other female victims were rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The deceased has been identified as a 57-year-old male from Caledon, and police said on Tuesday that a 55-year-old female also from Caledon has since died of her injuries.
Police have not released the names of the deceased and say the third shooting victim remains in hospital in critical condition.
Investigators say multiple suspects were involved in the shooting and one individual was seen entering a black pick-up truck headed westbound on Mayfield Road.

The truck was later found burned-out in a fire on Olde Base Line Road and Creditview Road, which investigators say is linked to the shooting.
The OPP says there is no threat to public safety but added that residents in the area will continue to see an increased police presence while the investigation is underway.
Police are asking anyone who may have dashcam footage of either the Mayfield Road shooting scene or Olde Base Line Road and Creditview Road vehicle fire between the hours of 11 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. on Nov. 20 to contact investigators.
Police have also released QR codes that can be used to upload video footage directly to investigators.
