Second-time lottery winner scores another massive prize in Canada

An Ontario man has scored his second major lottery win in just a few years.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation announced that Strathroy resident Paul V. won $100,000 on Encore in the June 5 Lotto Max draw.

“I always say yes to Encore,” Paul said.

“I exclusively play Lotto Max and always choose quick pick.”

Paul was checking the winning numbers online one morning when he discovered he won the huge prize.

“I was home alone at the time, but I couldn’t wait to share the news. When I told my wife and children, they were very excited for me,” he said.

A few years ago, Paul won another major prize, also from Encore.

In 2020, he took home $1 million from Encore on a Lotto Max ticket.

“I never could have imagined I’d win again. This is quite something,” he said.

Paul said he plans to share his winnings with his grandchildren.

“I’m already retired and living my best life,” he said.
