The second phase of the Roads 2021 Program is set to begin in Halton Hills at the end of May.

The project, which is the town’s annual road maintenance and improvement plan, including the Pavement Management and Capital Works construction programs, aims to renew and enhance infrastructure across Halton Hills.

This year’s program, which will begin on May 31, will focus on the upgrade of roads in various ward areas. This work is managed by the Transportation and Public Works Department, Design and Construction Section.

The nature of work will include road resurfacing, storm sewer and curb repairs, traffic calming and sidewalks. Additionally, intersection improvements are scheduled and capital projects will be completed.

Residents are reminded that all roads will be open to local traffic and emergency vehicles with only occasional lane closures required. Currently, no road closures are anticipated.

Access to driveways, however, may be temporarily blocked at certain times during construction. While water shutdowns may be necessary, advance notice will be given to residents should this be the case.

Additionally, residents can expect some noise, dust and vibration as part of the construction process.

The following is a detailed list of where the town’s construction projects will take place.

The program’s anticipated completion is October 2021.

While construction is expected to begin soon, the project could be delayed by inclement weather or other site conditions identified during construction.

Should a project be delayed, letters will be circulated.
