A second man is dead after a car crash in Mississauga last night.

According to Peel Police, three vehicles collided at Dixie Road and Eglinton Avenue in Mississauga shortly before 10 p.m. on April 3. All three cars remained at the scene. Some of the people were trapped inside the vehicles and had to be extricated by first responders.

Two of the vehicles were heavily damaged but a third was indirectly involved and therefore less damaged.

One man in a white sedan was pronounced dead at the scene and another from the same car was rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition. The next day police confirmed the second man had died.

“It appears that a vehicle travelling south on Dixie Rd made a left turn to go East on Eglinton Avenue when it collided with the white sedan travelling north on Dixie,” wrote media officer Cst. Tyler Bell-Morena in a statement to Insauga, “The exact sequence of events remains part of the investigation.”

There has been no report of further injuries and no word on any charges.
