Second Brampton pharmacy robbed in less than a week

Two Brampton pharmacies have been the target of armed daylight robberies in the last week, including one held up in a gunpoint.

Around 3:15 p.m. on Monday, Peel Regional Police (PRP) say a pharmacy in the area of Howden Blvd. and Vodden St. was held up by two suspects.

Police say a handgun was seen during the armed robbery and no physical injuries were reported. Two suspects are believed to be involved in the robbery, however, police were not immediately able to provide descriptions of the robbers.

The suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash and narcotics.

Monday’s holdup is at least the second daylight armed pharmacy robbery in Brampton in less than a week.

On Thursday (Sept. 15), PRP officers were called to a pharmacy in the area of Mayfield Rd. and Creditview Rd. in Brampton around 3:45 p.m. for reports of a robbery.

Police say the pharmacy was robbed at knifepoint by two masked suspects who then fled the scene in a dark colored vehicle.

The suspects in Thursday’s robbery are described as a pair of Black men wearing masks. One of the suspects was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, and the other had short braided hair.
