Seatbelt violation leads to drug charges in Brampton

A traffic stop led to drug charges in Brampton on the weekend.
During enforcement at a RIDE checkpoint in Brampton on Saturday, OPP officers stopped a vehicle on the eastbound Queen Street ramp to Highway 410 southbound, OPP said on X. Officers noticed a possible seatbelt violation as the vehicle was stopped.
Police said officers seized drugs during a subsequent investigation of the vehicle.
Two males face drug trafficking, possession and seatbelt charges, OPP said.
