Updated: Search underway for 96-year-old man from Pickering

Update: George has been found safe.

A search is underway for a missing senior from Pickering.

George, 96, was last seen leaving his retirement home in a car around 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 18. His home sits near Valley Farm Rd and The Esplanade just north of Hwy. 401. He was behind the wheel of a 2015 white Honda CRV with Ontario Licence plate AYHT-478.

“Police and his family are concerned for his wellbeing and are requesting the public’s assistance in locating him,” investigators said. They describe George as a white man with a slim build. He stands 5-foot-8 and has grey hair and a grey mustache. He was wearing black pants, black shoes and a beige jacket.
