Schools Under Hold and Secure After Gunshots Potentially Fired in Mississauga

Two Mississauga schools are under hold and secure following reports of gunshots in Mississauga. 

Shortly after 3:30 p.m., Peel police said officers are in the Colonial Dr. and Garthwood Rd. area responding to reports of possible gunshots. 

Officers are checking the area. 

Police say Garthwood Park Public School and Christ the King Catholic Elementary School are in hold and secure. 

A call regarding the incident came in at 3:20. 

UPDATE: Police say the hold and secures have been lifted.
