Schools closed for PA day on Friday, Halton Hills hosts family events

Both Catholic and public schools will be closed on Friday (Nov. 25) for a professional activity (PA) day, but the Town of Halton Hills has some activities planned to keep kids happy.

Recreational swimming and skating will be available that day for families at various locations.

Swimming

  • 11 a.m. to noon at Gellert Pool, 10241 8 Line, Georgetown

Skating

  • Public skate: 2 to 3:20 p.m. at Acton Arena (415 Queen St., Action) and Mold-Masters SportsPlex, 221 Guelph St, Georgetown
  • Stick and puck for 12 and under: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Acton Arena
  • Stick and puck for 12 and under: 1 to 2 p.m., Mold-Masters SportsPlex
  • Youth shinny ages 13 to 17: 1 to 2 p.m., Acton Arena
  • Youth shinny ages 13 to 17: 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Mold-Masters SportsPlex

Usual fees for these activities apply and range between $2.50 to $6.50 depending on age and activity.
