School bus driver charged with impairment while kids were onboard

A female school bus driver and another motorist collided in Brampton on Thursday night, leading to the former being taken into police custody.

Several children were on the school bus at the time. No physical injuries have been reported.

The Peel Regional Police received a report about the collision at Countryside and Coleraine drives at about 6:42 p.m..

Peel police indicated that they had not charged the driver, but that doing so was a possibility.

UPDATE: The 61-year-old bus driver from Brampton has been charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and operation while Impaired. Her blood Alcohol Concentration over 80MGS.
