Police say a student was injured and taken to hospital after a school bus crash in Caledon earlier this week.
The OPP says officers from the Caledon detachment were called to a stretch of Winston Churchill Blvd. in Caledon around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday (May 30) following a single-vehicle crash.
Police say a school bus drove into a ditch while two students were on board. One of the children suffered minor injuries and was transported to hospital and a hydro pole was also damaged in the crash.
A photo shared by police from the crash shows the bus in the ditch with its rear door open and a hydro pole leaning on the left side of the vehicle.
Winston Churchill Blvd. was closed between Mayfield Rd. and Old School Rd. while crews repaired the hydro pole.
Police have not said what may have led to the crash.
Shortly before 3:30pm this afternoon, #CaledonOPP responded to a school bus that drove into the ditch. No other vehicles were involved. 2 students were on board – one has been transported to hospital for minor injuries.
