School bomb threat in Mississauga nets charges for 15-year-old boy

A teenage boy in Mississauga has been charged after his school received a bomb threat.

Peel Regional Police did not specify which school was threatened but said it’s a high school in the south end of the city. They received the threat over the phone at about 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 30. However, the police investigation found the threat did not have merit.

Investigators arrested a 15-year-old boy, a student of the threatened school, on a public mischief charge. His identity is protected by the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He will appear in the Brampton courthouse at an unspecified date.
